My Journey in Philanthropy
My 15 years as a foster child ignited my dedication to philanthropy, driving me to become a philanthropy specialist. I have worked in philanthropy for over 17 years. Over time, I’ve been honored with numerous opportunities and roles that have sharpened my expertise in the nonprofit sector—from being recognized by prestigious leadership programs to being named Fundraiser of the Year by Austin Fundraising Professionals, Austin, TX Chapter.

I began my professional journey as a Loaned Executive at United Way of Greater San Antonio, where our team raised an impressive $44 million. This experience laid a strong foundation for my later roles. Previously, I worked with organizations to implement legacy giving circles, further diversifying and expanding their fundraising approaches.
